Greetings and welcome to the 296th House of Alpha! On behalf of Theta Upsilon Lambda Chapter, I would like to invite you to browse our website, check out our monthly newsletter, and support the various events being hosted by the chapter throughout the year.
Theta Upsilon Lambda (TUL) has a very rich legacy of community service, advocacy, and leadership in the greater Fort Wayne metropolitan area. Having been founded in 1966 on the wake of the Civil Rights Movement, TUL has survived turbulent times of racial division, discrimination, and inequalities by remaining viable, proactive, and steadfast to the vision and goals established over 103 years ago by our 7 Fraternity Founders reverently known as the “Jewels.” It is on this wise that we are dedicated to sustaining our past while forging ahead to an even bolder, bright and glorious future!
I encourage you to attend our newly instituted “Phirst Phridays with the Alphas” held on the first Friday of each month, 9:06 PM at a venue near you! I also solicit your participation in upcoming events, such as: the Black History Month Gospel Concert/Essay Contest, the Black and Gold Scholarship Ball, the Black Leadership Summit community forum, March for Babies fundraiser, Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser, and the 2010 Beautillion rites of passage/scholarship program for Junior/Senior High School students.
The chapter members work diligently throughout each year in donating their time, talents, and finances to these events that benefit the minority community by providing aid, awareness, and assistance to those who are underserved and most in need. Thus, by supporting our events, you can be confident that you are making a sincere difference in the lives of others and our community as a whole.
Thank you, once again and God Bless!
Clifford Clarke
